Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare announced today the planned promotion of the company’s President, Derek Lampert, to Chief Executive Officer on April 1, 2021. Upon this transition, Bob Size, currently Chief Executive Officer, will join the Drive DeVilbiss Board of Directors in a new hands-on role as Vice Chairman.
John Compton of CD&R will remain as Chairman. Lampert started with Drive 18 years ago as a Territory Business Manager, and has advanced steadily, holding a variety of roles of increasing responsibility. Since the earliest days of CD&R’s sponsorship of Drive, Derek has been chosen for a variety of leadership development programs. In 2018, Derek was chosen to lead Drive’s largest segment (65% of US sales) as Business Unit Director with full P&L
responsibility. Over the last year, he has successfully completed a rigorous development program, building on his strong commercial foundation, to prepare him for expanded executive responsibilities. Throughout 2020, he has assumed new responsibilities, including oversight of planning, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing and International businesses. He was promoted to EVP, Supply Chain in May; Chief Operating Officer in August; and President in October.
